Nicky Henderson also said afterwards that, for a horse who had never run in a point-to-point or a bumper, he was “exceptional” and that Nico said, “he's as nice a young horse as he's ridden for a long time”.

Paul Nicholls
I really like this horse” Real Steel
Nicholls received a slew of horses from leading owner Jared Sullivan earlier in the year. Sullivan chose to base all his horses in the UK, which has handed Nicholls a big opportunity. Real Steel was one of those exciting horses acquired and there’s understandably plenty of excitement in the Ditcheat camp surrounding him. Speaking of Real Steel to Racing Post, Nicholls said: “I really like this horse. It looked as though he might win the Gold Cup going to the final fence“. That referenced performance came back in March, where he posted a career-best effort in sixth. Taking into the Gold Cup, he looked the likely winner turning into the straight before he was outstayed on the run-in. That was an eye-catching performance, however, and suggested that a drop back in distance could reap rewards. “He’s a lovely horse and a pleasure to have in the yard”
Nicholls is clearly of that opinion too, continuing to say: “I don’t know whether he got the trip, but in my opinion he leaps out as a potential Ryanair Chase winner. We’ll start him back in the Grade 2 at Ascot“. That Ascot contest on Saturday is over the 2m 5f distance, where he’ll face a select field that includes Imperial Aura, Itchy Feet and Black Corton. If he was to pass that test with flying colours, an even loftier target could be in mind. Given insight by one of the great jockeys, Nicholls also told Racing Post: “I’ve also made an entry for the King George because Ruby Walsh tells me he thinks the horse is good right-handed“. Given the way he tanked into the Gold Cup, the King George could be a perfect contest for him. The easier test is an obvious positive and he doesn’t seem short of stamina for a softer three miles. A best priced 16/1 for the Kempton showpiece at the time of writing, that won’t hold up if he wins on Saturday. If he does return to Cheltenham in 2021, then the Ryanair looks the obvious target. It’s the perfect test for him on paper and with Nicholls seemingly confident, his 16/1 Festival odds could look extremely tempting.
Finished 3rd Ascot Hcp @3/1 , probably needed. Worth remembering he pulled up @ Gowran Park (hvy) before going straight for the Gold Cup 2020 only to weaken 2f out when looking to have every chance (3mile2f) interesting to see what Nicholls can muster with this one ☝️

Dusart (2.30 Ascot, Friday)
He was impressive in what was deemed beforehand to be a very good race (at Newbury). I think there were a lot of fancied horses in there, so we thought the Kennel Gate was the obvious port of call. It was obvious when we started working him that he was a talented youngster and Ian Ferguson had done a wonderful job with him, he had taught him everything. Rather than wasting time with Bumpers, we could get straight on with it. If we come through this race, we know probably what we are going to try and do next.
Buzz (3.35 Ascot, Saturday)
In the past we have always thought you have to put him there on the line at the last minute, because he pulls up on the run-in when he hits the front. At Ascot (last time out) he got to the front and instead of nearly pulling up, he galloped off. He was impressive. What he loves is a really strong pace, flat out two miles, where the leaders have got to come back at you. If they are going away from you, he is chasing them. He likes it when the race falls apart up front and that’s what happened at Ascot.

Four day) at Ascot Injured Jockeys Fund Graduation Chase (GBB Race) (2m5f)
Caribean Boy (1.15 Ascot, Saturday)
This ought to suit him well. He has only had two runs in novice chases, so we have got one more stepping stone race - they are good races for these horses, who don’t have a lot of experience. I think Daryl (Jacob) feels two and a half miles is plenty for him. He is a big bruiser of a horse and he gallops along. He beat a pretty good horse at Newbury last time, but what got everybody’s mind ticking was the time that he did it in. I am not a great clock man, but they all say it was a phenomenal time and yet all he was doing was bowling along in his own rhythm. I think the Ryanair would be the dream at the end of the day.

14:35 Huntingdon Tuesday 22 December 2020 Fitzdares Club Adores Henrietta Knight Mares' Standard Open NH Race (Listed) (GBB Race) Class 1 | 1m 7f 171y | 20 Runners | Turf
Purple Mountain Age: 5| Weight: 11-4 J: Unknown | T: W P Mullins Willy Mullins brings this Mare over, hardy for the scenery, intriguing what the market makes..
We could take .. PURPLE MOUNTAIN over to Huntingdon on Tuesday for the Fitzdares Club Adores Henrietta Knight Mares' Standard Open NH Race. She’s won her bumpers at Killarney and Gowran this season and there isn’t anything around I want to run her in at home at the moment. I thought she deserved an entry in this Listed event with Leopardstown at Christmas the other option but at the moment it looks like we might travel over next week.
Non Runner probably more due to covid ..

Saturday 3.40 York No 7 First Folio - (8/1 ✅Sky Bet 7 places) He ran 5th behind Jumby at Newmarket having moved from one side of track to the other and was not knocked about to be just behind Perroto in 4th. He came down 1lb for that run and meets the 2nd horse form that race on 8lb better terms. He slaughtered a decent field of sprinters at Yarmouth on his debut in this country and I think he's a lot better than his Newmarket run suggests.
Wednesday 5.00 Royal Ascot Finest Sound (8/1 Sky Bet 5 places) He was 2nd in the Britannia handicap last year and has been trained for the Royal Hunt Cup this year and I have been told he's Strongly fancied.
Friday 2.20 Royal Ascot Primo Bacio (9/2 Sky Bet 3 places) She was an eyecatcher in a big field over 7 furlongs at Newbury and was impressive over 1 mile at York beating Creative Flair. She could be anything and has not yet reached her peak
Email (Alex Corrie ) see how the old hand fares out with his plentiful connections .

TUESDAY 15TH JUNE ROYAL BETS 5 horses - 1 bet £60 stake TUESDAY - 6.10 Royal Ascot No 1 On To Victory £5 E/W (9/1 Sky Bet 6 places) No 8 Throne Hall £4 E/W Bet (10/1 Sky Bet 6 places)
Both these horses stand out in this race to me and I think they have outstanding chances at good odds.
TUESDAY - 5.00 Royal Ascot No 14 Cour De Lion £3.50 E/W Bet(12/1 Sky Bet 7 places) No 10 Elysian Flame £2.50 E/W Bet (20/1 Sky Bet 7 places)
Both these horses race at Chester and I backed them E/W but because they are hold up horses and it's hard to pass there they never got going until it was too late. The Ascot track should be far better for them.
FRIDAY - 6.10 Royal Ascot Significantly - £7.50 E/W Bet (8/1 Sky Bet 4 places)
I have been waiting for this boy. He was a 1 and 3/4 L 2nd to Creative Force (giving 3lb) and had many class horses that have won since including Jumby and Rohaan and he was only getting 3lb. He only went up1 lb for that run and then went to Hamilton and was 2nd top class 3 year old Dragon Slayer. The exploits of the 4 horses mentioned that he raced against and the handicap mark he has now makes me think that he's a very good bet off just 92.
3 x £1 E/W doubles and £0.75 E/W treble - On To Victory Cour De Lion Significantly - at odds quoted
