Relieved to end Royal Ascot with a £205 profit and just the one today 315 Hexham £10 ew 11/1 Champagne To Go. Past seasons form suggests it runs well after a break and promising run on return. Rain forecast and CTG has soft ground winning form. Has won for the claimer, decent course form and the trainer has had 3 wins from 10 in the past 10 days.
Mr Henderson's fav may prove to be a good thing after a wind op but I'll swerve it as it has been a beaten fav on 3 of last 4 goes.

4.00.Pontefract..Makawee.ew. Useful filly 2 wins from 4 runs later this year. Good fifth of 13 in handicap at York ( 11.8f) 8 days ago, not ideally placed. Still lightly raced, so may have more to offer.

although doubt we can be as lucky as yesterday, but a win will be a win...hopefully.
