Has anyone ever done a bet with the instruction " Double Stakes About"? I have in the past a few times with good results and you can catch a few bookies out with it. Say you fancy two horses ( in different races) say first at 10-1 and the second at 5-1. and for ease, you do £10 win double stakes about. The first goes in so you have £110 in the pot but a double stake goes over to the other. If the second one loses you collect £90 but, here is the beauty,if the second one wins, then £20 from that goes back onto the 10-1 shot. In effect if they both win, you have £30 win on each. I did it years ago with a small bookie ( prefer them) the first one went in at I think it was 16-1 and the other was backed into favourite and he came out from the back before the second one won and said"you have had be over you bugger" Love it when that happens.

Dont know many small bookies personally, think they've struggled to survive with online bookies and the big chains, other than on-course ones i wouldnt know where my nearest small indy would be.

Think that Double Stakes About is a version of single stakes about and would think still available. You can't beat the old type bookies.
