Has anybody noticed the new 'Horse Selector' on Skybet?
Theres a number of YES/NO options where you can filter and it will show the results. Options include: In form jockey In form trainer Beat Fav LTO Course Winner Distance Winner C&D winner Winner LTO Won at least once in last 3 races Placed LTO Placed at least once in last 3 races Proven on going Proven over the distance
Quite useful for narrowing down certain 'criteria qualifiers'.

Very interesting Pindropper and as you say can sort some of the very basic things if that is the way you go. One thing you cannot do with a system like that is try to get inside the devious minds of the racehorse trainer.
Looked at it this morning and it would seem that ALL trainers today are out of form. Guess you are limited by someone else's perception of what is in and out of form be it jockey or trainer. Some of them have to hit form today though, don't they !

Indeed, its only one of few things to look at, handy if im being lazy/not wanting to look through all the cards as can get carried away and look for ones to back in every race (not necessarily big bets, but still generally only the bookie wins when i get reckless like that)
Doesnt for example take into account jockey bookings for certain trainers - rare bookings for certains yards sometimes can throw a winner.
Think one of the Twiston Davies lads rode one for Shaun Harris last week, only won didnt it! But i didnt pick up on it at the time.
Likewise, some are sent out for a run / learning exercise etc.
Three ive gone for using it today are:
Huntingdon 2:30 Regarding Ruth 4:05 Bishops Road
Sedgefield 3:20 Hard to Forget
Did have Walsingham Grange but now a NR.

Might try a 1p ew lucky 15, total bet 30p.
For me though, not one of them a course or a distance winner and only Ripley placed in last 3 starts. So i'l back that single ew small stakes.
As you say though its all down to your own criteria and what makes you select a certain horse.
Im still yet to find one that yields winners
