Shady Daisy - 3.50pm Sedgefield
A half-sister to bumper and hurdle winner Fontsanta, and Dusky Days who won a bumper for us on his racecourse debut. Out of a mare who was placed in a bumper and over hurdles. She was a half-sister to the useful Dusky Lord and out of a sister to the high-class jumper Deep Sensation. This well-bred individual was 3rd on her racecourse debut but was unlucky in running. She since held every chance 2 furlongs out at Stratford but ducked the wrong side of a marker. Surely her luck will change as she is a nice mare, and deserves to win a bumper. Jamie Snowden Racing .

Soldier of Destiny - 3.15pm Doncaster
This Presenting gelding is out of a winning dam, and is a half-brother to a couple of useful winners. He was beaten 5 lengths on his debut in an Irish Point-to-Point behind the subsequent Grade 1 performer Gentlemansgame, and he was then 2nd in a bumper. After a lacklustre start over hurdles, he proved a revelation over fences and won two decent novice handicaps at Ffos Las and Haydock. He ran well when 5th on his seasonal reapearance in the Grade 2 Old Roan, but fell on his next start. We gave him a confidence boosting run over hurdles last time out, where he was 2nd. Now back after a recent wind op and with blinkers on, and over the minimum trip, I'd hope he can find some form again......but it does look a competitive race.

Lambourne runners could have a good day led by Warren Greatrex Racing .
Hereford
Going: Soft First race: 1.15
KENZAI WARRIOR (225pm) @14/1 Roger Teal This is Kenzai’s first run in a handicap and obviously top weight, but if he continues to run as he has been he has a solid each-way chance.
BILL BAXTER (3pm) @9/4 Warren Greatrex Has won his last 2 and remains in great form. Will put in another big run today, and hopefully that will be enough for him to get his head in front again today.
HIGH STAKES (335pm) @10/1 Warren Greatrex Everything just happened a little bit quick for him last time at Sandown. The step back up in trip will help him and he should go very well.
ELLIES SISTER (440pm) @16/1 Jamie Snowden Ellie's Sister is out of an unraced half-sister to the useful bumper performer The Posh Paddy. She is the sister to the prolific winning Ellie Mac and point winner Whisper In Court. She was 5th in a bumper in the summer, but was a bit jarred up on the quicker ground. She has done well for her break, and will appreciate this softer ground. She might be able to run into a place here.
HELLO MARIE (440pm) @3/1 Warren Greatrex An Irish point-to-point winner she does everything nicely at home and looking forward to seeing her on debut for us.
Plumpton 350 ART OF ILLUSION @10/3 Warren Greatrex Back up in trip on the better ground should suit him well, and a useful 7lb off his back will help. Could go close again here.
Plumpton 315 14year old Top Weight giving lumps to four 6 year olds KANSAS CITY CHIEF @14/1 Oliver Sherwood There is only one way to describe Kansas – a total legend, he is the most wonderful horse to train because he remains competitive and he loves his work and schooling. He’s a 14yo but you would never know it from the way he behaves. He ran a blinder last time out at Doncaster when finishing third and he looked all over the winner until shortly before the line. I’ve had no issues with him since and he comes here in good form, there is one slight concern that this ground with the frost coming out will be tacky and horrible. I trust Vic to make the right call, because she knows him backwards, to make the final decision on whether he runs.

140 Huntington Elogio - He shows absolutely nothing at home, jumps well and we will be hoping he comes alive at the track. He clearly has the engine given his Aintree run. @2/1
215 Huntington Dibble Decker✅ - We have fitted CP's as he just isn't performing to what we expect. He ha sthe ability to win this if he applys himself. @9/2
250 Huntington Major Fortune - Draw a line through his Ludlow run. The Skelton horse is back over hurdles and does not appear to be in love with racing. Major Fortune has the ability to spring a surprise. @9/1

David Pipe Racing
Today we have four runners across two meetings with Sidi Ismael running at Plumpton and the trio of Red Happy, Jilaijone and Only The Bold running at Hereford. In race time order, Red Happy is our first runner of the day in the 2m5f novices hurdle at 1.15pm. We have freshened him up since his last start at Plumpton four weeks ago and hopefully this will be a confidence boosting run for our six year old. His form figures don’t look great on paper of late but there is more behind these than meets the eye and he remains a lovely horse that if running to his best will not be too far away. He won a hurdle race at Southwell a little earlier in the season and this represents the easiest opportunity he has contested of late. He is about 13/2 in the betting and Tom Scu rides.
Jilaijone makes his handicap debut in the 2.25pm novices handicap hurdle with Tom Scu on board. He won a juvenile hurdle at Fontwell on stable debut and ran to a similar level when third at Wetherby under a penalty when a mistake at the second last did not help his chances. A rating of 114 looks okay and he gets a very handy weight for age allowance which should see him very competitive in this. I like his attitude and think he has a great each way chance.
Only the Bold runs in the three mile handicap chase at 3.35pm. He is partnered by Fergus Gillard who won on our gelding on stable debut at Bangor lost time. The handicapper has put him up ten pounds for that win so life will be tougher but he would have won with ten pounds more on his back last time and I think he can again today. He is about a 13/8 chance and runs in the colours of the Value Racing Club.
Sidi Ismael runs in the 3.15pm handicap hurdle with over three miles at Plumpton. He ran well at the track last time to be fifth in the Sussex National. I don’t think he quite stayed the distance last time so will appreciate dropping down in trip slightly. He won at Worcester first time out this season over hurdles and then ran a cracker at Cheltenham before first time blinkers did not suit at Sandown. I think he has a great chance returned to this level and Jack Tudor is on board for the first time.
Over the weekend it was great to get a winner with Barrier Peaks winning at Uttoxeter on Saturday under Fergus Gillard. He followed up his Exeter win earlier in the month with another fine performance to win again. Held up in behind he made smooth progress jumping 3 out and was always just doing enough in front. We do have him entered up again this week but we can see what the handicapper does tomorrow. I don’t think they can be too harsh for the win so he may not need to run again under a penalty. Panic Attack unfortunately made a couple jumping errors mid race at Cheltenham which cost her her position in the field at a crucial time. After this she was never able to get involved with the principals but I was impressed with how she stuck to her task and kept galloping strongly up the Cheltenham hill. She was only a neck out of third place in the end so it actually was a pretty good run. She definitely will get further and has now put three good runs in a row together. She deserves to win a nice prize. On Sunday, all three of our runners ran with credit to be placed and pick up some prize money.
115 Hereford Red Happy @14/1 ew well Hcp on previous rating dropped in trip / Scudamore
335 Hereford (pipe Only The Bold @2/1 watching
315 Plumpton Sidi Ismae @12/1 ss ew 5lbs higher after Worcester win , 9year old at the top of the weights with Sherwoods 14year old Kansas City Chief ( ?? Yet to be decided runner / Going) Pipe is 20% here albeit fallen stats recently aiming for hcp reduction aiming for bigger races .

David Pipe Thursday runners .
Today we have runners at three meetings, including one on the flat at Southwell, Colony Queen. She runs in the 1m4f apprentice handicap at 3.25pm with Laura Pearson on board. She is about a 14/1 chance in this competitive looking race but she does have a very good record on the level, winning ten races from 23 starts. I am not sure quite what to expect today but hopefully a return to the flat can help bring about some sparkle.
We have two runners at each of the jumps meetings at Fakenham and Wincanton. The lorry set off pretty early for our long journey to Fakenham where Ya Know Yaseff runs in the first race and Pachacuti in the last. Ya Know Yaseff runs in the conditional jockeys novices handicap hurdle at 1.35pm with Philip Armson on board. She ran way below expectations at Fontwell over Christmas where we thought she would run okay in her first handicap. She does have ability and off a mark of 73 with first time cheek pieces and tongue strap, we will be very disappointed if she cannot be involved in the finish today.
Pachacuti runs in the concluding handicap hurdle at 4.25pm with Tom Scu in the saddle. He ran much more like we expected to be second at Hereford last time and a repeat of that run should see him go close in this. The track might not be totally ideal but we think he will cope and hopefully he can win.
Meanwhile a bit closer to home, we run Ferdinand Star and Neon Moon at Wincanton. Ferdinand Star runs in the opening conditional jockeys handicap hurdle at 1.30pm with Fergus Gillard on board. He ran okay for a long way on stable debut at Taunton last time before fading and hopefully he can build on that today. He has finished place in Ireland and he looks a good each way price at about 12/1. Neon Moon runs in the handicap chase at 3.00pm with David Noonan in the saddle. He has only had two starts over fences and ran okay in both of them before Christmas but we felt he wasn’t quite seeing out his races as we had hoped so he underwent a wind operation and this is his first run back. He likes Wincanton, having won at the track before and although he hasn’t won over this distance as yet we think he will stay and he also looks to have a good each way chance in a competitive looking race.

Alan King Racing
Spartan Army might not make the Barbury team for next month’s Cheltenham Festival next month, but Alan still thinks highly of this recruit from Joseph O’Brien’s stable and is hoping for better when he reappears at Wincanton on Thursday.
Alan said:”Spartan Army had won well on his first run for us at Wetherby, but he never managed to build on that performance in the Grade 2 Finale Junior Hurdle at Chepstow next time, and I probably over-faced him.
“He was never travelling with the same sort of rhythm as he had done at Wetherby, but it was only the fifth race of his life and I still like him a lot and think that there is more to come.
“We still have him entered for the Triumph Hurdle, but I doubt whether that will be where he goes. Fingers crossed, this race will tell us which route suits him best, but I think he could be more an Aintree horse than one for Cheltenham.”
Alan is also hopeful of a good run at Wincanton from Allegro Forte in the mares bumper. He added:”She had to come from off the pace on her debut at Ludlow, having got shuffled back through the field, so I’d think it was a better run than her finishing position might suggest.
“She has come on for that experience and should build on that, and further down the line she could even race on the Flat later on.”

8pm THE BAY WARRIOR Mark Usher The Bay Warrior likes it round here, up in grade today but off a little weight, so could go close. @4/1 - 7/1
Fakenham Going: Good to soft First race: 1.40
210pm LINE OF DESCENT Warren Greatrex Jumped and ran well again on Sunday, has come out of the race very well and this could be his opportunity to get his head in front. @5/2 - 2/1
315pm JARAMILLO Warren Greatrex We can put a line through his last run where he didn’t seem to enjoy the large field. This should be more to his liking and we should see him run a much better race today. @10/3 - 2/1
TREYARNON BAY Nicky Henderson She ran well on her first start over hurdles and I hope she would have a good chance round Fakenham. @7/4 - 2/1
350pm BOLSOVER BILL Warren Greatrex Ran very well in defeat last week where he just bumped into a well handicapped one. Has come out of the race well and should go well again today. @11/8
425pm HERMES LE GRIS Warren Greatrex Still finding his way in life, if he settles early doors he should see out the trip well and gain in confidence. @20/1 - 22/1
Southwell Going: Tapeta: standard First race: 1.20

210pm Ben Buie kicks off proceedings at Fakenham today in the 2 mile chase under Sam Twiston-Davies who has been in the saddle for two of his wins for his fun syndicate. His form figures recently read 332131 and he’s only gone up 3lbs for his latest Leicester win. It’s not surprising his owners describe him as the perfect syndicate horse although he’s not the most reliable (he doesn’t like umbrellas!) you’d not know that from his form figures alone and he’s given them 4 fabulous winning days out too. Let’s hope today all falls right for him and he gives them their 5th. They’ll have a fun day whatever happens though I know! @8/1
240pm Brianna Rose is our second runner for Matthew Baker and she returns following a horrible fall at Southwell at the end of June where she broke a small bone in her elbow and we feared the worst. I was on holiday with the family and we waited with baited breath for updates from the racecourse and then the vets. All were superb and she had the best care and it is brilliant to get her back to the track. She’s in rude health and will hopefully run another solid race under Sean Bowen. @10/3
Reverse Forecast Doireann 13/1 - 14/1
Fakenham
Stuart Edmunds is a trainer to follow when sending horses to Fakenham. He has had 15 winners from his 49 runners at the course in the last five years and that 31 per cent strike-rate has yielded a level-stakes profit of £45.78.
His only entry on Thursday’s card is Doireann in the 2m7½f mares’ handicap hurdle (2.40).
She has had nine starts under rules without breaking her maiden tag but came close when a three-quarter length second over course and distance in November. Although disappointing at Plumpton last month, first-time cheekpieces are now applied and the return to Fakenham should suit.

Today we have four runners at Chepstow while there is also jumps racing taking place up at Catterick. Duc De Beauchene, Martinhal, Kepagge and Royal Defender make up our quartet of runners heading over to the Welsh track. Duc De Beauchene runs in the 2.00pm handicap chase over 2m3f. We were expecting better last time from our nine year old where a mid-race blunder basically ended his chance. He sports first time cheek pieces this afternoon and if they have the desired effect then he is handicapped to go well. Tom Scu rides our previous course winner.
Keppage and Martinhal run in the same handicap hurdle over 2m3f at 4.05pm. Kepagge is the mount of Tom Scudamore and after a good run at Ffos Las on his penultimate start to finish third, he disappointed last time at Exeter. We think he might not have stayed that day over 2m7f on really testing going so hopefully he can return to form with first time cheek pieces added this afternoon. He is a previous course winner who looks good each way value at about 16/1. Martinal is ridden by Fergus Gillard and he wears first time blinkers. He has only had the one start this season after a long time off and he ran better than his finishing position suggests at Leicester. He looked the first beaten but Tom Scu said he stayed on well to the line and was not beaten that far in the end and hopefully that run will have sharpened him up for this. Royal Defender runs in the concluding bumper at 4.40pm with Tom Scu in the saddle. He is the winner of an Irish point to point and didn’t run as well as we thought he would in a bumper at the track in October. He is a horse for the future whatever happens today as he works well at home and at about 6/1 hopefully he will not be too far away.
Stable is starting to fire , small ew multiples for an interest .. Royal Defender is heavily backed @3/1 - 6/1
Highly Probable it’s the definition of insanity .
240 Catterick Zestful then makes her hurdling debut after finishing 4th and 2nd on the flat for her new syndicate. She’s a super looking mare and looks every inch a jumping mare and has done plenty of schooling at home. You never quite know until they run how they will take to it though but we are hoping for a bold run from this likeable mare. M Keighley Racing 9/1 from 16s

Willie Mullins has held no punches in his comments criticising his no1 jockey Paul Townend due to this weekend failings . Rode Facile Vega like a machine instead of a horse
The Irish Champion hurdle won by State Man was a mind blowing 3seconds slower than the Novices Hurdle today Won by Il Etait Tempts .
(Average length per second @4.5 leaves State Man 13L behind II Etait Tempts)
Maybe Facile Vega had a bad day or God forbid the master hadn’t him spot on .. always easier to blame the staff than admitting your own failures.
I’d rather take the @4/1 on his 5yold Grey II Etait Tempts in the Supreme Novices Hurdle against Facile Vega & Gaelic Warrior than the skinny @3/1 for State Man in the Champion Hurdle against Constitution Hill in March after todays eye opening results .

Gordon Elliott faces a disciplinary hearing at the BHA tomorrow over a positive test for 3-hydroxylidocaine returned by Zanahiyr after finishing third in a race at last year’s Cheltenham Festival.
At least BHA acted so swiftly , only just 11months down the road . Maybe they deserve to be sacked rather than Elliott getting banned AGAIN

140 Doncaster Montregard - He is solid in his work and will be competitive, he is also a nice EW bet. 16/1 - 8/1 MM ~50%⬇️🥉 @4/1
3pm Huntington Ginny's Destiny - He faces a horse with a big reputation, we have to path a way to Cheltenham and this is our chosen route. He is a good horse on his day yet this is not ideal in the form of the track or ground. We have to line up somewhere, with no rain forecast and with our plan to go to the Coral handicap hurlde at Cheltenham he needs to run for the fourth time over hurdles. He will make the Fav work for his money and is in good form. 10/3 - 3/1 ~9%⬇️LOST….

Insight Kim Bailey Racing Blog
I am looking forward to a good day out at Newbury today with Does He Know, hoping he can redeem himself after his last visit there! With a little help from the stewards we have found a pre-race routine that suits him and allows him to be at his best in a race so hoping for a good result!
kBR Thoughts
We have four runners this weekend...
Saturday
Newbury
2:25 Does He Know is in brilliant form. He has had a nice long break since a hard race at the Cheltenham November meeting. We are really happy with him, he is slightly wrong at the weights but goes their today in great hearts and deserves to have a go.
3:20 Sayadam is a tough, honest horse who always runs his race. He should really benefit with Kai Lenihan taking 7Ibs off and has a big chance.
Sunday
2:30 El Rio is a nice horse. He works well at home and won his PTP over 3m. He jumps well and is a horse we think plenty of.
4:00 Espoir De Romay has had a considerable time off the track but appears to be in particularly good order and should like going back over hurdles.

115 Sandown Freddy Robinson @10/3 bet365
There is a potential handicap blot running in the opening Audley Chaucer Solicitors Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle (1.15) at Sandown and that is the four-year-old Freddy Robinson for Brian Ellison.
Freddy Robinson was a moderate maiden on the Flat but has transitioned nicely to hurdles, and he followed a comfortable juvenile hurdle success at Musselburgh in December with an eyecatching fourth in a Listed race over the same course and distance next time.
The first three home are entered in the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival next month and Freddy Robinson, who was a little outpaced turning in under Henry Brooke, made some nice late gains from the rear to finish hot on the heels of the leaders.
It was a slowly run contest, but the selection was carrying a 3lb penalty at Musselburgh and did well in the circumstances to record a Racing Post Rating of 115.
He now runs off a mark of just 106 on his handicap debut and is 9lb well in on BHA figures, while he also receives a handy 12lb in weight for age from his older rivals. With top conditional Niall Houlihan aboard for the first time, there is plenty to like.
The only minor concern is the 11-day turnaround, but Freddy Robinson has handled two runs in quick succession perfectly well in the past and this looks an outstanding opportunity. I expect to see him win this cosily en route to possibly lining up in the Boodles at Cheltenham next month. ✍🏿 Robbie Wilder
