No Anxiety failed by the narrowest of margins to follow up his chasing debut success when 2nd at Warwick on Wednesday. He jumped really well, but the leader just got away from us off the home turn and we were gaining with every stride but the winning post came a stride too soon. No Anxiety is only a 5 year old, and is still an embryotic chaser, so I think there is an awful lot more to come from him as he continues to mature.
Monday 21st June 2021
No Anxiety - 1.30pm Southwell @7/4 Sky Bet
No Anxiety won well on his handicap/chase debut in May. He followed that up with a cracking effort to only just be denied over 3m at Warwick 3 weeks ago when the winner got first run on us. Up another 4lbs makes life tougher, but he is unexposed and improving. This is a tight little race, but our chap is in good form and should run well.
Monday 21st June 2021
Floral Bouquet - 2.50pm Newton Abbot @13/8 from @9/4
Floral Bouquet has won her last two chase starts and is in good form. Her latest win came last week at Ffos Las when she won quite readily. She runs here off just 2lbs higher back over hurdles, but she should run well again providing she can handle the quick reappearance. @5/1 double ..

Chepstow
Going: Good, good to firm First race: 130
330 HELLYN Jonathan Portman Hellyyn looks like she can be found a winning opportunity in due course but possibly after more help from the handicapper.
400 HELLAVAPACE Jonathan Portman Hellavapace is well and can figure hopefully.
400 BOMB SQUAD Stan Moore Bomb Squad is in good form and has not got a great draw and Laura gets on well with him.
500 PRINCELY Roger Teal Princely is having his first run for us today and has been going quite nicely at home. He’ll definitely come forward for the run and I wouldn’t rule him out. If he gets a bit of luck in running then he should have a solid each-way chance. ✅ @9/2.
Newton Abbot
Going: Good First race: 1.15
FRIENDLY PRINCESS Stan Moore Has schooled very well at home and the jockey is in form with a double yesterday.
320 GANGSTER Warren Greatrex Continues to be in good form and is more than capable of running a big race if he fancies it.
Southwell
Going: Good to soft First race: 1.00
205 LADY THISTLEDOWN Warren Greatrex First time out for this lovely filly, has been going nicely at home but will probably come on for the experience.
Wolverhampton
Going: Tapeta: Standard First race: 5.50
550 ARLECCHINO’S ARC Mark Usher His last run can be ignored as he was badly hampered, is still in good form and has a fair each-way chance here.

Cottage Field Stables are proud to support Katharine House Hospice. All proceeds go to this worthy charity.
Tom Lacey Racing 250 Southwell Kishorn – she is not over big, in fact the opposite, she is tiny. However, she appears to have a big heart. She has not stepped foot off the farm and I’d expect her to be too green and potentially unsettled throughout the early stages of the race as she’s a very forward going filly with a busy mind. Should she surprise us, settle and go through the race in a more professional manner that I expect she has shown us enough at home to believe she will be competitive and certainly won’t disgrace herself. I will be watching only.
11/2 — 7/2 . Market Mover .. trainers comments off putting.
4pm Chepstow GOSNAY GOLD William Muir & Chris Grassick Ran really well at Goodwood. Hopefully going the right way. In good form at home, nice race and good opportunity. ✅ won @5/2

NEWBURY
5pm FIRST CHARGE Ed Walker First Charge I think is a different horse to the one that went in to Nottingham, he was training well and looked well going in to that race but I think he’s put on a lot of condition and just has more of a spring in his step than he did back then. Hopefully this will be a great opportunity for him to get back on track.
530 PEGGOTY Ed Walker Peggoty is in great order and ready to get back out on the track today, the ground is going to be quite soft which is an unknown with her but I’m hoping that she’ll handle it and you don’t know until you try. She has been working well and I think will make a big step forward from her debut run in what looks a competitive race as usual for these Newbury novices.
530 BABY BAY Jonathan Portman Baby Bay ran respectably enough on debut at Goodwood and can hopefully take another step forward here.
530 SULEVIA Jonathan Portman Sulevia has been very straightforward and has shown enough ability to make her presence felt on debut.
6pm KAWIDA Ed Walker Kawida has been training well but is another that I’m unsure how will handle the soft ground. She looks great and is moving very well so I’m hoping that she will run with plenty of promise.
630 NAVEGAON GATE Ed Walker Navegaon Gate is extremely well in himself and his last couple of pieces of work have been very pleasing. This race looks an ideal next step for him to take, though I’m sure he probably wants further in time, but the ground should be just right for him so we will see how he gets on.
730 SUNSET BAY Ed Walker Sunset Bay seems to have made a very good recovery from her Salisbury defeat and is ready to go again. If coping with conditions she ought to have every chance of finally breaking her maiden.
805
SIBERIAN NIGHT Ed Walker Siberian Night ran encouragingly last time out and the ground will be in his favour today. It doesn’t look the strongest on contests and if he puts his best foot forward then he could run very well.
THE WATERMAN Tom Ward The Waterman is in good form at home and has really got the hang of things now. He shouldn’t be far away.
Newton Abbot
815 DRUMLEE WATAR Warren Greatrex First run since a wind op and cheekpieces applied should all add up to a big run.
THREE WAYS Jamie Snowden Three Ways was a useful horse in his earlier days, but hasn't shown much since he's come back from injury. He is off a dangerous mark if he can begin to recapture some old form, and this small runner field will be more to his liking. Our horses are running well, so hopeful rather than confident!
BRIGHTON
210 FOUR FEET Henry Candy Four Feet has had plenty of chances without scoring. He seems in good form and has enough ability to win one day.
320 GRANDSCAPE Ali Stronge Owner-ridden, will like the soft ground not the most straightforward of horses it’s a low-grade race fingers crossed can run into a place.
355 SHEILA O’SHEA Jonathan Portman Sheila O’Shea finds herself in the right grade and can hopefully play her part.
505 SOLDIER’S SON Henry Candy Soldiers Son is not any better than his form shows and it will be interesting to see if this track helps him.
TUESDAY 22ND JUNE Tuesday's runner Our sole representative on Tuesday is Majalaat in the 3.30 Beverley.
He ran an excellent first race for us at Haydock a couple of weeks ago, only run down late by Cote d'Azur. Prior to that he had won at Pontefract from the front, and such tactics around here will see him to best effect. That said, a few of his rivals like to go forward and also arrive here in good nick. Majalaat is also back to a near career-high mark of 74 now so will have to be at his very best here. Event Details Rebecca Menzies Racing
We have one runner today. Newton Abbot
8.15 Design Icon. Won last time at Market Rasen but the form has not worked out well as the second has been beaten since. The handicapper was harsh in putting him up 5 for his win.. Ground a big worry only because we are stepping up hugely in trip..He will either go close or pull up Kim Bailey Racing

Bath
550 THE NOSEY PARKER Richard Hughes The Nosey Parker ran third on her only turf start at this course, so we hope she can run well.
620 MAJESTY’S PLEASURE Richard Hughes Majesty’s Pleasure is also having her first run, we are happy with her and hope she runs well.
620 SPOONFUL OF SUGAR Daniel & Claire Kübler Will be more competitive in nurseries, we should learn a bit more about her this evening.
650 TYNWALD Richard Hughes Tynwald is having his first run today, we hope he has a good experience and learns from it.
850 TOYBOX Jonathan Portman Toybox very likely needed her last run having been off the track for over 200 days so hopefully can run more successfully today.
850 BOY GEORGE Dominic Ffrench Davis Boy George is in good form and has been knocking on the door and one of these days it will drop right for him. He has a reasonable draw and I think he should go close.
850 KENSINGTON GREY Ali Stronge He has an extremely low handicap mark, but he has to show something. Its not the ideal distance or ground, but I have to go where we can get in.
Carlisle 515 DON’T TELL CLAIRE Daniel & Claire Kübler Probably run a bit better than bare result suggest both starts this season and this is an easier contest, has won over seven and stays a mile so the stiff track should suit.

Kempton
710 CAVALLUCCIO Richard Hughes Cavallucio ran a nice second last time out, we are happy with him and should run well.
740 DREAM CHASER Harry Dunlop Dream Chaser has an each-way chance from a good draw. 🗣MM. 25/1 into 14s .
810 ANGEL ON HIGH Harry Dunlop Angel On Hight has an each-way chance if he has improved for his last race.
Salisbury
100 ALREADY GONE Stan Moore Put a line through his Epsom run, his Goodwood run was very promising and he has improved alot and should run a nice race at a big price. @40/1✅ SP 80/1
210 THE WIZARD OF EYE Stan Moore The Wizard of Eye has done everything at home very easy, but may get found out for the lack of experience. He is running against horses that have had a few runs and whatever he does today he will improve from. …3rd @33/1,
Think it’s fair to say that Stan Moore string is hitting form slowly but surely, watching for anything he takes over to 🇫🇷 Takes advantage of the Prize money across the channel..
245
GREENSIDE Henry Candy Greenside is 10 and carries ten stone in a very competitive race, but he is well and a real trier. Soft ground will help.
Worcester
125 ADJALI Nicky Henderson Won his last start nicely but obviously has Captain Tom Cat to beat!
345 ZAYRIYAN Ali Stronge Has been ultra consistent on the flat but doesn’t win often. Has ability but needs quick ground, so no rain wanted. This is a low grade race and is more than capable of being in the frame.
420 GLOBAL SOCIETY Nicky Henderson Global Society will certainly have a chance if he settles.
420
PASEO Oliver Sherwood We are slap bang in the middle of moving yards, my wife Tarnya, Emma my PA and Stefan my head lad are flat out organising tack rooms, Office, feed rooms etc before the horses move over later this week. I myself am actually in Ireland at the Tattersalls Derby Sale trying to buy new recruits for our exciting new venture at Neardown Stables which begins soon. After 37 years, where I have been privileged to train at this beautiful historic yard, sadly this will be my last runner from Rhonehurst. I hope he does us proud before we “move over the road” to Neardown Stables but whatever he does we are still looking ahead to the next few years of challenges and continued success in our new base.

8.40 Blazon. This looks competitive on paper and Blazon chances all depend on the speed of the gallop.. Last time they crawled and that did not suit as he is not a speed horse.. If they go a good strong gallop then he has a great chance of being placed or better.

Beverley Bell 330
Chichester, who has proved a shrewd 30,000gns purchase from the Horses-In-Training sales last October, also holds an entry at Newcastle on Thursday but is likely to bypass that engagement. The Keith Dalgleish-trained runner relishes a fast gallop and may be helped by the fitting of first-time cheekpieces.
Waarif, who won this race in 2018, topweight Howzer Black and in-form Star Shield represent Middleham Park Racing. The latter boasts the most solid claims, but his wide draw in stall 16 limits enthusiasm.
Fred (stall one) got the best of the draw and is the likely pacemaker, alongside Garden Oasis, who should be in the prime position to strike under David Allan. The handicapper gave him just 1lb for his most recent success.
Middleham Park Racing Mike Prince, director of operations at Middleham Park Racing, owners of Howzer Black, Waarif and Star Shield Howzer Black was just touched off at York last time and the handicapper has put him up 3lb. We've had this race in mind for him and he has been in the form of his life. It's a race we always target. Waarif had to miss a year with a strained tendon and he's not shown his old form yet. He'd be well handicapped but we're more hopeful than confident. Star Shield dosses when he hits the front and needs to be played late. He hasn't got the greatest of draws [stall 16] but Danny [Tudhope] will give him a patient ride and he'll be doing his best work late. He goes there with every chance.
Roger Fell, trainer of Global Spirit He ran excellently at York, any rain would help him and I think he might win it.
Ed Bethell, trainer of Ulshaw Bridge We've freshened him up and he goes there in a good place mentally. It's ultra competitive with 16 runners, but he has a good draw [stall seven] and I'd be hoping he can finish in the first three.
Michael Dods, trainer of Get Knotted There's 7lb between top and bottom weight so it's a very competitive race, but he deserves his chance and I'm sure he'll run well stepping back up to a mile.
Grant Tuer, trainer of Lion Tower His last run at York didn't work out for him. They crawled then sprinted which really didn't suit us. We've put a visor on to hopefully keep him concentrated a little better.

ROYAL ASCOT
4Runners 1st, 2nd & 2nd even more taking that Dark Pine @40/1 heavy going put paid to last runner chances .
David Loughnane
John and Thady Gosden may have taken the leading trainer honours for the week with four winners but special mention goes to David Loughnane, who not only saddled his first Royal Ascot winner, but also sent out two seconds from just four runners at the meeting.
Anyone who says training is merely a numbers game should take a look at how Loughnane is going about his business in Shropshire.
He describes his as a "boutique yard" and has no ambition to train 100-plus horses. Hands on, he likes to give each horse his undiluted attention and gets a feel for them himself on the gallops.
The ambitious Irishman has been getting the right results for some time but there appears to be more quality about his current team, which was evident when Loughnane saddled Amo Racing's Go Bears Go to finish a head second in Thursday's Norfolk Stakes.
The trainer's breakthrough at the royal meeting had come the previous day, with Lola Showgirl leading home stablemate Ffion to give the yard a memorable one-two in the Kensington Palace Stakes.
Last year Loughnane recorded his first win at Group level when Santosha landed the Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot in July and further success at the same track surely awaits a trainer who is firmly on the up.

John O'Groats 2 b c Dabirsim - Ecume du Jour Form profile Unraced. Trainer says He is out of dam that won and he goes well. He looks quite a nice horse and we like him. He is qualified for the lowest grade of races and he will get his head in front.
The fact the trainer goes to Newmarket (150) for a grade 4 maiden shows he must rate him highly In his homework. @12/1 ew WH
Plenty of potentially top class 2year olds line up as expected at HQ I’ll take a chance Bell Colt is one of his top hopes .

130 Yarmouth 6f Friday
PM Racing Syndicate. Update on Silken Petals . Silken Petals continued her fine 2yo form at Lingfield on Thursday but connections will have been frustrated that she remains a maiden after bumping into another smart one. In this instance Mr McCann was always in the right position to get first run to win nicely by 1 1/4L. The winner, a G65,000 pick up from the Goff Breeze Up improving for the extra furlong from his 5F maiden 3rd at Leicester.
In a select but non the less talented field of just 5 runners in which she was the only filly featured, Silken Petals was much better behaved in the stalls and although darting right from the gate she was away well enough tucked in behind Galileo Glass who raced freely if not quickly. This did not suit and the pace only picked up as they approached the final bend going into the final 2 furlongs. Silken Petals found herself stuck in a pocket on the outer rail, whereas the winner had moved ominously alongside and took full advantage of it, getting first run. She was forced to check to as Galileo Glass fell away and despite making every effort she was never close enough to put the winner under pressure, indeed she did well to hold off Fozzie Bear by a short Head for 2nd.
Silken Petals has been unlucky having now placed 2-3-2 in her 3 runs. At Kempton she finished 2nd between Sandrine and Oscala, both featuring in the Albany on Friday, The latter whom we beat into 3rd giving her 3 pound, winning the Woodcote at the Derby meeting by 3L. At Redcar we were drawn wide and ran into the very decent Rock Melody who runs in a listed in a couple of weeks. It is frustrating but its a question of when rather than if she will win.
UPDATE on Yarmouth second. It was another frustrating day for connections of Silken Petals after her 4th attempt to win ended as the others with a place to give her a 2-3-2-2 record. Of course many an owner or syndicate member would bite your hand off to be in that position, but when you have such a good 2yo filly hitting the crossbar becomes little consolation.
In this 6F Novice at Yarmouth she appeared to have everything in her favour. The highest rated by some way from those who had previously run and with a good 5LB claimer on board on perfect ground what could go wrong? Well put simply, instead of getting cover tucked behind the leaders, she bolted out of the stalls racing freely down the centre of the track, setting the race up for one preferring to come from behind, which, in this case was 14/1 shot, the 63 rated Ye Gud Thing, who eased past Silken Petals inside the final furlong. Although running on after given a reminder the bird had already flown with 3/4L distance between them with Luna Queen similarly back in 3rd. This was particularly disappointing because although the jockey didn’t ride to instructions Silken Petals should still have been good enough to win this given her previous runs particularly on debut. The suspicion is she might need to go back in trip and having declared to do so at Windsor on Monday, providing she has shaken off Friday’s exploits, we are about to find out.
Non Runner Windsor Monday .

215 MOUNT MOGAN Ed Walker Mount Mogan is in great order and lines up today in what looks a very open race. He is drawn well and the conditions will suit as long as they don’t have any more rain and if putting his best foot forward has a great chance.
325 SHUV H’PENNY KING William Muir & Chris Grassick Improved again last time by winning well. In great order at home. and the mile will suit, he must go with a good chance.
Newcastle
855 MOUNT MOGAN Ed Walker Mount Mogan is in great order and lines up today in what looks a very open race. He is drawn well and the conditions will suit as long as they don’t have any more rain and if putting his best foot forward has a great chance.
Newmarket
515 MARK OF RESPECT Jonathan Portman Mark Of Respect ran with credit last time and hopefully can do so again here on his first run against older horses.
515
SKY BRIGHT Ed Walker Sky Bright is very well in herself and ready to go again today. I’ve left the blinkers off as I thought they set her alight last time so, hopefully, Oisin can get her to concentrate and produce her best effort as I believe she is more than capable of winning off of her current mark.
620 GEORGE MORLAND Henry Candy George Morland is in good form and should run well. His last run is a mystery.
730 GEORGE MORLAND Henry Candy George Morland is in good form and should run well. His last run is a mystery.
805 KALASH PRINCESS Roger Teal She’s a big backward filly who‘s taken a little while to come to hand. She’s been pleasing us at home and it’s her first day at school today so she’ll come on a lot for the experience.
805 LUCKY BAY Henry Candy Lucky Bay is a backward filly, you will need this run.
835 DATA PROTECTION William Muir & Chris Grassick Ran a great race at Epsom and came out of it extremely well. He loves Newmarket, but we’ve all got to beat the favourite if he reproduces on grass what he has done on the all-weather.
Yarmouth
130 LIL GUFF Daniel & Claire Kübler Lil Guff makes her debut, would expect her to improve from her first trip to the racecourse
200 LAWMANS BLIS Harry Dunlop Lawmans Blis has an each-way chance with a couple to beat.
235 SENECA CHIEF Daniel & Claire Kübler Seneca Chief ran a good second on his seasonal appearance, if building on that should be competitive.
310 WILLINGLY Mark Usher She certainly has an each-way chance here.

Windsor
155 EPIC ENDEAVOUR William Muir & Chris Grassick Ran a great race first time out, just needed the run. He has come on no end from the race and is in great form at home. Loves soft ground and Windsor, looking forward to watching him race.
225 ADAAYINOURLIFE Mark Usher Adaayinourlife is a nice horse in the making and one for the future.
300 SIENNA BONNIE Jonathan Portman Sienna Bonnie has put up two decent enough performances in defeat in tough races in her last two starts and, hopefully, can do so again here, not necessarily in defeat. Faster ground is clearly the key to her though and she is unlikely to get that unfortunately.
410 ALFRED BOUCHER Henry Candy Alfred Boucher will probably find the ground softer than ideal and would probably be a non runner if there is much rain. Trip is an experiment. The horse is in good form.
445 RAY DAY Ed Walker Ray Day is in good shape and I’m looking forward to seeing her run today where I’m sure the ground will be much more to her liking that it was on her debut run. I’m hoping to see her take a big step forward today from that performance.
520 BLUE GALAXY Mark Usher Blue Galaxy has been disappointing but is not useless and could run well at big odds.
Chester
335 COTAI HERO Ed Walker Cotai Hero is really well in himself and I’m hoping he will make a step forward from his debut, however I expect the ground is likely going to be a bit slower than ideal for him so we will see how he copes with it. I’m sure he will improve on his debut run no matter what.
505 CALL MY BLUFF Dominic Ffrench Davis He’s in good form and we’ve been waiting for some decent ground. With the rain we’ll have to see if it’ll be good or softer. I think we go there very well.
Newcastle
125 KINGBOARD STAR Ed Walker Kingboard Star has been training very well since his debut win at Bath and I couldn’t be happier with him going in to this. This looks a good opportunity for him to hopefully get another win on the board all being well.
255 DREAMWEAVER Ed Walker Dreamweaver is in great order and I’m looking forward to seeing him run over this trip. I’m not sure that the all-weather surface is entirely ideal, but he has won at Newcastle before so I don’t see it being a huge issue. He’s drawn well enough and if he stays I think he will run a big race.
330 JUST HUBERT William Muir & Chris Grassick Ran okay at Ascot, didn’t let himself down on the firm ground. Although this is a very competitive race we are off of a light weight and I wouldn’t be surprised if we ran a decent race.
Newmarket
350 BY STARLIGHT Henry Candy By Starlight should be suited by the track and the trip, having run well there in the past.

Uttoxeter
1.20 PeakedToo Soon. This horse won well on his first start over hurdles and seemed to have enjoyed his day ot.. Hard to work out the value of the form but will have to be rated 120 to win this .. It is a two horse race on paper and I am hoping we can beat the favourite.
Sunday 27th June 2021
Some Day Soon - 3pm Uttoxeter
Some Day Soon was a prolific winner in 2019, but was then off with an injury for a while. He resumed this season with arguably his best efforts when 3rd in two handicaps off a career high mark of 139. Those two races were over 2m2 and 2m4, but his pedigree suggests he will be better over 3m, and we're stepping him up in trip here in this valuable but highly competitive Class 2 event. If the step up in trip unlocks some more improvement, then he'll have an each way chance, but it'll be a big ask to win this off top weight. Jamie Snowden Racing .
3pm Sebastopol - He hasn't done much wrong in his last four starts but the fear of being run out of it again by an better handicapped horse is strong. Tom Lacey Racing
505 Hunting Percival - I think he is badly handicapped on what we have seen to date, dropping back to a fast run 2.4 mile could play to his strengths. Tom Lacey Racing
.
Windsor
150 CHIPSTEAD Roger Teal He only just got denied in the last couple of strides last time. He has to take on older horses for the first time but he keeps improving with each run, so hopefully he can get his head in front.
220 MICKS DREAM Roger Teal Ran very well first time out and hopefully he will have come on for the experience. We’re hoping for a decent run from him again. We wouldn’t want too much more rain.
250 WHENTHEDEALINSDONE Roger Teal We’re dropping back to five and he’s been gelded since he last ran as he was very coltish. We think he’ll cope with the early pace and he should run a big race.
505 BLESSED Henry Candy Blessed should be suited by the step up in trip and seems in good form.

Valamix - 3.45pm Haydock @40/1
Valamix is by Valirann (an Aga Khan bred sire - top rated 3yr old stayer in France in 2013), out of an unraced mare who is closely related to the black type performers The Duke's Speech (rated 130) and Bleak House (rated 128); her dam won a bumper and was out of half-sister to Grand Criterium (Grade 1) winner Danishkada. Valamix had one educational run a month ago, where he jumped off 11 lengths behind the leader, they went a dordle on good ground and then sprinted, and he was beaten 11 lengths! It was a silly race! However, with that "racecourse gallop" under his belt now, and with softer ground which is sure to help, I think he is massively over priced as he goes well enough to win a bumper..... Future Investment makes his jumping debut in the juvenile hurdle at Wincanton on Saturday. He was a decent horse on the Flat with Ralph Beckett, winning three races, and we bought him for 70,000gns at the Horses-in-Training Sale.
“Future Investment was a proper stayer on the level and might go up in distance later, but two miles here looks the right starting point, especially on this ground, and he has been showing us plenty at home.” Priced @5/4..
515 Kempton ADAAYINOURLIFE Mark Usher I think he will run very very well, he’s a horse who probably didn’t like the visor last time out, he’s working real good so he must have a fair chance. @14/1 each way

Tom Lacey Racing .
10-January-2022 January blues have set in, and a winner is desperately needed. 28th December, the date of our last winner seems like a long time ago. We have backed off many horses and will just have them on tick over for the month of January. They won’t lose much fitness but will just get a chance to fill up.
Terrierman and Cruz Control head to Exeter and Immortal Fame and Quick Draw to Doncaster tomorrow.
Terrierman - He has been freshened right up and I think he will be there or thereabouts. His best run to date has been when he’s fresh as paint. He is currently fresh.
Cruz Control -the form of his Chepstow run has worked out and he’s the horse to beat on paper.
Immortal Fame – The step up to three miles is of no concern and I believe he too is the horse to beat.
Quick Draw – If he wears his big pants and jumps with fluency, he is 5lbs better off over fences than hurdles. His schooling at home, over fences has been excellent. I think all four horses have live chances.
