TWILIGHT CALLS Henry Candy Twilight Calls may well need the run again as he has had an interrupted preparation, but he will like the ground and should run well. UNDERPERFORMED AS PREDICTED
CORNICELLO 725 Ffos Las.. Lost Jamie Snowden By a new French sire who was a very precocious high-class 2yo over 7 furlongs. Cornicello is a half-brother to various French winners, and his dam was a winning half-sister to a Group 2 winner over 1m6. He won twice from 6 starts on the flat over 1m2, and after being placed in the majority of his juvenile starts over hurdles, he deservedly won a couple of handicaps in the autumn. He didn't appreciate the rain softened ground on his seasonal debut, but back on better ground, he can surely continue his progress, and go close here.
DONNIE AZOFF 655 Ffos Las 🥈 2nd Jamie Snowden Donnie was placed in all three bumpers but then picked up an injury, and missed a season. He was a very creditable 2nd earlier last summer after being off the track for just shy of 600 days. After another break he was a decent 2nd this spring, before going one better in a maiden hurdle. He was a shade disappointing on handicap hurdle debut, but he didn't appear to handle Hexham. Back on a conventional track, and over fences, I'd like to think he can continue to progress. He jumps fences well enough at home, and if he can transfer that to the track on his chasing debut, then he's definitely got a chance here.

435 Leicester ITHACA’S ARROW Dominic Ffrench Davis Ithaca’s Arrow ran much better than his finishing position would suggest in a hot Newbury handicap over an inadequate trip. He missed the break there when going up in the stalls, so we’ve opted for a late load and I will be very disappointed if he’s not in the shakeup today. Opened @33/1

Sunday Stable thoughts not tips .
Caius Chorister 445 Pontefract around 5/2 favourite We've had this race in mind since the City And Suburban. She deserves to get some black type and this seems the right race for her. She handles Epsom well, so hopefully she will be fine around Pontefract. The jockey knows her very well, she's drawn in 1, which is ideal for going forward, and the ground has come right. So all the lights are green.” David Menuisier
Blow Your Horn 515 Ponty @11/4 ✅ 16/5 SP Anything beyond two miles is a specialist’s trip but we think he’ll stay. He’s always been crying out for a trip and he’s now showing us why we thought that. He won nicely at Beverley last time and we think he’s still fairly handicapped.” Ian Williams
Ghathanfar 645 Ponty around 9/1 Ghathanfar is really well in himself. We were really pleased with his last run at York, where he was drawn on the wing and got outpaced in the middle of the race, but ran on nicely. He's drawn in stall 10, which is a bit wider than ideal for a horse that likes to be up with the pace. Hopefully he can get out of the gates well and David Nolan can slot into a good position. A lot of his best form is at York, but I actually think a stiffer six like this suits him better.” Tracy Waggott

Inform Ed Walker trainer thoughts , couple of which are heavily supported , value long gone .
4pm Yarmouth MONOPOLISE 9/2 - 7/4✅@9/4 Ed Walker Mostly sound form in 3yo handicaps this term and his latest effort can be excused so I’d like to think he has a good chance.
640 Newbury FIRST ENCORE 10/1 - 9/1 Ed Walker First Encore is a nice colt and I am hoping he has a good experience but will no doubt need the debut run.
715 Newbury SASSY BELLE 5/1 - 9/4 Ed Walker Sassy Belle is back in blinkers and up in trip. She was outpaced last time but the ground should be perfect so I would be confident if she turns up she should run a big race.
750 Newbury SNUGGLE 9/2 - 6/1 Ed Walker The ground should be ideal and stepping up to 7f should suit and help him travel better. Conor Planas is a great jockey, so if he does stay, I think he will have a cracking chance.
735 Kempton FANTASY BELIEVER 7/2 - 6/1 Ed Walker Fantasy Believer is drawn 4 which is perfect and it looks a competitive race as you’d expect at Kempton at this level. He is on a mark we know he can win off and he has been consistent recently so I am. Hoping he can get his head back in front.

545 Sandown NEW DAYRELL William Muir & Chris Grassick I am hoping we have got him back right in himself and he is back to his best. Michael who is riding him today works for me and rides him everyday. He likes the track, he likes the ground and he likes Michael, so I am hoping we can see a big, big run from this horse today. 10/1
520 Salisbury ODONNELL’S ORCHARD Tom Dascombe Odonnell’s Orchard he should win. @6/4

5.00 ..Parc d'Amour.. This lovely big horse is more of a chaser than a hurdler and certainly wants further than 2 miles in time..In all his past races he has been too free and hence staying over 2 miles. He is not a fast horse.. he travels well in his races.. must have a great shout. Priced @5/2 small bet interest with trip ? Price not very exciting on return from 159 days. Chase Tracker 6yold walk in the park gelding trainer 3 wins from 8 runners 38% 14days

We have three runners today..
Ludlow.
2.20 I Got Stung. Very backward and learning on the job. This looks competitive..Handicapping will be his future.
4.05 Von Hallens..This looks a competitive novice hurdle.. Von Hallers has good Irish point form and we have started over hurdles rather than in a bumper. Jumps well and should go close.. Place chances and ever hopeful of better.. We will learn a great deal about here today.
5.41 Jeudidee.. This French horse has had a cracking summer and this is his first time in a handicap.. Hard to asses if his mark is good or not. Javert Allen could be very well handicapped having slit two 120 horses.. Love this horse and very hopeful of a big run..

Roger Pol - 12.45pm Ascot @11/4
A brother to the Grade 1-placed and 3m hurdle winner Minella Crooner, and a half-brother to the seven-time winner, Adrrastos (who we used to train) and the black-type winning, L'Aigle Royale. Roger Pol was 2nd in an Irish Point-to-Point before arriving with us, and he won two bumpers last season. He jumps well and improved from his 2nd on hurdling debut to win nicely last time out. Up in trip here, on his handicap debut, he could be quite well handicapped....but then again, so might a few of these as it looks an open contest. Will takes off a useful 10lbs.
Friday 22nd December 2023
Jack Sprat - 1.05pm Uttoxeter @9/1
By Walk in the Park, out of a three-time winning mare who was placed in Graded company, and a sister to black-type performers Aces Four and Ocras Mor. “Jack” was placed in bumpers and over hurdles. He has been quite backward, but is improving and won earlier this winter in the manner of a horse who has just started his progressive journey. He found Wincanton a bit sharp on his last run, but should appreciate this ground and track, and should have a big chance of going in again.
Friday 22nd December 2023
Double Click - 2.15pm Uttoxeter @14/1
Out of a winning sister to the three-time Cheltenham Gold Cup winner, Best Mate, and the Grade 1 winning hurdler Cornish Rebel, as well as the multiple winner Inca Trail. Double Click is the brother to College Oak who has won a bumper and three races over hurdles for us. Double Click had three moderate runs in Irish Points, but is progressing under rules now. He was 3rd on stable debut, but stepped froward from that when winning a maiden hurdle at Wincanton win the spring. He won again on handicap debut at Ffos Las. He did disappoint last time out, but the ground was too quick that day, and so I'd hope he can resume his progress back on softer ground here and up in trip.

Monday 25th March 2024
🥇8/1 - 4/1 50% Jack Sprat🎯 - 3.05pm Huntingdon
By Walk in the Park, out of a three-time winning mare who was placed in Graded company, and a sister to black-type performers Aces Four and Ocras Mor. “Jack” was placed in bumpers and over hurdles. He has been quite backward, but is improving and won earlier this winter in the manner of a horse who has just started his progressive journey. He hasn't been beaten far since, and shouldn't be too far away here again as the step up in trip promises to suit him.. J Snowden Racing
We have two runners tomorrow. KB Racing
Huntingdon.
14.35 Von Hallers. This mare has had a shocking season and today we just hope she completes and runs well.
16.35. El Rio. Well handicapped on past form but he had a fibrillating heart problem last time.. He has been given plenty of time to recover but we will not know until he runs if it has gone away.. Tests at home show that it has..

8.30 Newcastle – GLOBAL HUMOR (1pt ew – 11/2 William Hill)
GLOBAL HUMOR usually comes from well off the pace, ideal tactics for this 6f amateur riders’ handicap which looks sure to be run at a good pace. Jim Goldie’s veteran came from well back when runner-up over course and distance 72 hours ago and the very recent run is another positive, as his record when returned to the track five days or sooner since his latest outing stands at 1161613 (4-7) for a profit of £9.88 to a £1 level stake at SP. The booking of Alice Keighley also takes the eye – had we backed her previous 38 mounts we’d have found nine winners and made a profit of £14.83 to a £1 level stake at SP and her record when riding in races up to 1m is seven winners from 19 (+£26.58). She’s 0-9 for Jim Goldie but seven of the runners made the frame and Global Humor should be bang there at the business end. A.Mount
